New York state has expanded a Web service that helps consumers compare long term care insurance policies.
When the New York State Insurance Department introduced the tool in the summer of 2006, the tool only included policies offered through the state’s LTC insurance partnership program.
The site now offers sample premiums for a wide range of individual long term care insurance policies offered in New York, officials say.
Users can retrieve premium data personalized by age, type of policy, elimination period and other criteria.
