Agency Acquires Executive Comp Firm 

Mesirow Financial Holdings Inc. has bought The Giles Organization.

Mesirow, Chicago, is an employee-owned financial services firm that sells life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plans and related products.

The Giles Organization, Bannockburn, Ill., is a 13-year-old executive compensation and benefits firm.

The price of the deal was not announced, but Mesirow says Gregory Giles, the former principal of The Giles Organization, now is president of Mesirow’s Mesirow Financial Compensation Strategies unit.

Giles has been administering $150 million in benefit plan liabilities for more than 2,000 participants in 18 corporate plans.
