Hartford To Sponsor Japanese Team 

A U.S. financial services company is heading to the baseball diamond to reach out to consumers and agents in Japan.

Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, is sponsoring the Chiba Lotte Marines this season.

Players on the Pacific League team will wear the Hartford stag logo on the front of their uniforms along with their own team’s crest.

Hartford will work to build on the sponsorship by hosting agents and distributors at games at the Chiba Marine Stadium, which is near Tokyo, the company says.

Hartford also has arranged for Bobby Valentine, the Marines’ manager, to speak to distributors in May at a company seminar.
