Health Care And Employee Hiring Top Small Business Worry List 

Controlling medical costs and attracting and retaining employees are the top small business concerns, researchers report.

The researchers, who commissioned and analyzed the results of a survey of 300 small business owners and other benefits decisionmakers for Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, New York, found that succession planning is near the bottom of the owners’ lists of worries, even though 39% of the participating owners plan to retire in less than 5 years.

Another 11% plan to call it a day in 6 to 11 years.
