Tech Alliances: Nexaweb, Aflac 

Aflac Japan is using services from a unit of Nexaweb Technologies Inc. to make several different computer systems available through a single Web interface.

Nexaweb, Burlington, Mass., says the new Insurance Premium Calculation System combines access to older “legacy” Aflac Japan systems as well as to stand-alone applications and Internet-ready applications.

Aflac Japan is a unit of Aflac Inc., Columbus, Ga.

In other technology alliance news, Nationwide Financial Services Inc., Columbus, Ohio, is replacing its current data warehouse system with the Netezza Performance Server system from Netezza Corp., Framingham, Mass.
