Aetna Inc. has begun selling stand-alone dental plans to individuals and families.
The new products are being offered in Arizona, Delaware, Illinois and Pennsylvania, with additional states to be added later, says Aetna, Hartford.
The company is offering the plans to individuals of all ages, including those eligible for Medicare, with no medical underwriting, although prices will vary based on age and geographic region.
The company is selling 2 Aetna Individual Advantage options: the Dental PPO Plan and the Dental PPO Plus Plan.
Both plans give members access to a national network of 105,000 dental practice offices.
