MetLife Buys Meadowlands Rights 

 

An insurer has agreed to be a marketing partner of a new New Jersey stadium.

MetLife Inc., New York, says it plans to pay for the right to name 1 of 4 main entrances at the new Meadowloands stadium and to name 1 of the 4 main scoreboards inside the stadium.

The stadium is slated to become the home of the New York Giants and the New York Jets football teams.

In addition to buying stadium naming rights, MetLife will be the official life insurance company of the Giants and the Jets.

MetLife also is a sponsor of the 2008 New York Yankees.
