 Nationwide Term Policy Allows Conversions On Riders, Too 

 

A big insurance company has launched a term life insurance policy that allows conversion of both the base policy and the spouse and children’s term life insurance riders from temporary to permanent insurance.

Called Nationwide YourLife Term II, the policy is issued by Nationwide Life Insurance Company or Nationwide Life and Annuity Insurance Company. Both are units of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, Columbus, Ohio.

The contract also includes:

- The option to select from 10-, 15, 20- and 30-year terms.

- The ability to structure death benefit payments according to the beneficiary’s needs.

In addition, Nationwide’s “affiliated agents” have access to:

- An expanded “express issue” maximum specified amount of $124,999, up from $99,999. 

- An oral fluids program that includes ages 40 to 50 for specified amounts of up to $249,999.

- New online tools for needs analysis, quoting, getting forms and submitting business.

- Use of one application when shifting from express issue to fully underwritten cases.
