An insurer says it will be offering standard rates to more applicants who have overcome prostate cancer.
Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, says it will offer coverage at standard rates to men 70 and older who have been treated with radiation for moderately aggressive prostate cancer.
The cancer must be confined to the prostate, and the man must have a strong prognosis for survival based on a blood prostate-specific antigen level of 0.5 or less after treatment, Hartford says.
