Carrier Expands Colorado Health Account Options

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is expanding its product menu for individuals and small employers in the Centennial State.

The Denver-based office of Anthem, a unit of WellPoint Inc., Indianapolis, says it now is offering Lumenos brand health reimbursement account, health savings account and health incentive account programs to all commercial Colorado customers.

Anthem began offering the programs to large Colorado employers in January.

Consumers who buy Lumenos products can get preventive care benefits and personal health coaching, and many consumers who complete wellness programs can qualify for financial rewards, Anthem says.

Anthem also has introduced RightPlan PPO 40, a conventional, zero-deductible preferred provider organization plan for individuals that comes with a $40 doctor’s office visit copayment.
